When you mention Addo, most people think elephants. They wouldn't be wrong though BUT, these days Addo is so much more than just elephants. Crisscross Adventures is a tour and adventure activity company based in the Sundays River Valley and they offer a wide range of activities from tours to the Addo Elephant National Park to quad biking, canoe safaris on the Sundays River and sand boarding. Check out their new promotional video and tell me you don't want to go and explore and experience the valley after seeing it.

The other South African Hope Spots are False Bay, Cape Whale Coast, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and the Aliwal Shoal. Check out this awesome mini documentary on the Hope Spot and learn more about the penguins and other inhabitants of Algoa Bay.

Maitlands from the air
Last week's Video Friday post was one by Renaldo Gouws showing off Shark Rock Pier and surrounds. This week I'm sharing his video with drone footage of the Maitlands area. We really are fortunate to have such beautiful coastal areas around Port Elizabeth and it's great seeing it from another angle in Renaldo's videos.

Drone footage around Shark Rock Pier
I was very excited when I saw that Renaldo Gouws had uploaded some drone footage on YouTube again. Renaldo may be best known for his political and social comment videos, but his drone videos truly are exceptional. He has upload three which I will be sharing with you on Video Friday over the next three weeks. The first one features Shark Rock Pier and surroundings. Makes me wish I had the budget to get myself a toy like this as well. Enjoy.

Port Elizabeth from the air
I found this clip by Hurricane Productions on YouTube this morning and I see I have commented on it so there is a chance that I have shared it before. But even if I have, it's worth sharing again. The drone footage of Port Elizabeth is among some of the most stunning I have seen and really shows off this beautiful city we live in.

Orcas off Port Elizabeth with Expert Tours
Usually this time of the year the sardines start to gather off the Port Elizabeth coastline before they start their run up the east coast. It gives divers and film crews the ideal opportunity to observe the bait balls along with all the dolphin, whale, shark and bird activity that accompanies it. Expert Tours based here in Port Elizabeth does a number of tours out to see this phenomenon and a week or two ago they had the most amazing encounter with orcas off the coast. Their footage have now been broadcast on international television and I got hold of the footage on YouTube to share with you today.

This is Winter on the Wild Coast
With summer in full swing, the Wild Coast Holiday Association has just launched a destination promotion video promoting the Wild Coast as a winter destination for the upcoming winter season. I'm sure a lot of the Wild Coast locals would ask you what winter is as they have stunning weather over this period and it's a great time to head east from Port Elizabeth to go and explore the Wild Coast.

Promoting the Boardwalk AND Port Elizabeth
I was looking for a video to post for today's Video Friday post and found this stunning video by Sun International promoting the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino complex. More importantly, they are promoting Port Elizabeth along with the Boardwalk. Whoever commissioned this video and worked on the project gets that everybody has to be a destination marketer as much as a product marketer as visitors first select a destination before they choose at which establishment they want to stay. Well done Sun International on a brilliant video.

Winter in and around Port Elizabeth is hot
I was looking for something to post for this week's Video Friday and found this "Winter in Nelson Mandela Bay is Hot" clip which Nelson Mandela Bay Tourism did a couple of years ago. Seeing that today was one of those perfect winter days we get in PE I decided that the clip is nogal appropriate.

Snorkeling at Sardinia Bay
I found this stunning video by Luke Kibble on YouTube. It was shot with a GoPro on a snorkeling outing at Sardinia Bay. Beautiful footage! Think I need to go get the flippers wet before it starts to get too cold.
