The congregation gathers...

A flock of pigeons greets the dawn on the roof of the old St Philips Anglican Church in Richmond Hill.

  1. This is a beautiful photo. Most church photos look up yet somehow you have found a perspective to look straight on at the roof top.

Please note that your link has been added to the daily photo map.

Best wishes on your photo blog.

  4. hi Denton, thanks so much for putting us on the map.
We are lucky enough to live on the brow of a hill overlooking the sea, and this lovely old church is lower down the road, so we see the roof at eye level. This is the view from our dining room window.

You are right about pigeons, Gerald!

hood-p, I have a thing about all the stone crosses around here and have photographed them in many light conditions, I'm sure you'll see lots more in coming months!
