Reserve Bank Bronze Doors

The Reserve Bank building just off Flemming Square behind the Port Elizabeth City Hall has a pair of magnificent bronze doors which I bet a lot of people walk past without even noticing.  The doors were designed by Robert Bain in 1942 and represents the twelve signs of the Zodiac.

  1. I can't recall ever seeing those doors!
Reminds me of Paris... yes, the one in France... they seem to love their massive, ornate doors over there...

  2. I was there the other day, must have just missed you!
