  5. Lovely photo! Apparently these Leucospermum cordifolium flowerheads (that consist of lots of smaller "flowers") all open up facing the sun so they always face east and are sometimes called Compass Flowers. For more info see http://www.plantzafrica.com/plantklm/leucospcordifol.htm.
