The sea wall between Sidon Street and Mount Road was badly damaged by this weeks huge waves, large chunks of concrete were tossed onto the railway lines.

As you can see these Municipal workers have a massive task ahead of them!

  3. Wow! This is most unusual for PE. I've had several emails with photos, including a few of a flooded Siddon Street, from the folks back home.

  4. Good grief!! As if the railways in SA didn't have enough to worry about already!

  5. That is amazing destruction. Always highlights that water and flooding is more dangerous than fire!

  6. Transnet (not the municipality) had to redo a stretch of this railway. I walked around on the site and it is quite amazing to see what the sea is capable of. Enourmous retaining boulders were thrown all over the place (as you can see in the distance)
Hats off to the author. You have a great portfolio here.
