We came acoss this brightly painted pole in Clarendon street the other day and it looks like someone had a lot of fun painting it. Unfortunately it also looks like many people have placed their offerings of litter at the base of the pole. Come on good citizens you can do better than that!
You seem to find all these interesting things all over town. As for the litter, its a pity that some people have absolutely no pride in their city and the environment.
ReplyDeleteIt pisses me off when people like, I have taught my kids never to litter and they now know that littering is a bad habit to have.
ReplyDeleteThe painter of that pole is obviously a very artistic person and i love what he did. I hope the city of PE can actually give people with those kind of skills a chance to beatify the city. By the way is the city rolling out public art? It would be nice for it to have colour full public art like Melbourne in Australia.
Urgh!!! Litter. It is one of my pet peeves. I am going to get hit one day because I always say something!
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, the English are the WORST for littering! At every traffic circle, or traffic light you can see the volume of rubbish increase as you pull up to the lights - people clearly stop, wind down their windows and just chuck. I often see teenagers walking down the street eating, say, a burger, and they will drop that wrapper without even breaking their stride. It makes my blood boil but it's a worldwide problem...
