On my way home from the rugby on Saturday I drove up Heugh Road and saw the Apple Express steam train coming down the narrow gauge line from its day trip to Thornhill. I veered off to the closest crossing and got there just in time to take this pic. By the time the camera (curse these compacts, no matter how advanced, which takes a second or two to reset) was ready for the next shot, she was next to me already and I couldn't line up another decent pic.
Even though you only had time for one shot, I really like the angle and how you got the engineer in the picture.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great action shot - what a great looking engine!
ReplyDeleteNice shot FF, by the way which tourist routes does it take?
ReplyDeleteGreat photo - just perfect! This train is one my must-see-one-days!
ReplyDeletePS - I see you are using the Networked blogs again to download - you must be having a problem with FB like me! All I want is my WW photo of beautiful proteas on but .... noooo ... it won't let me!
Wonderful shot - especially given that you took it on the fly!
