shapes

Railway yards and harbours are the source of great photo opportunities. Somehow the rusty objects lying around, and the shadows they cast, can yield wonderful abstract images. This was taken at the harbour.

  1. This is a photograph I like very much. So abstract and complex. I found myself being drawn into it trying to see what all was there. The delicate fencing adds a great deal of mystery to the rusty container, and the "U" shaped piece on it's side looks almost like a creature with it's mouth open ready to take a bite of something, yet the teeth are missing and have fallen onto the ground beneath the mouth. Kudos!

  2. I was also drawn into the picture to see what is there and what is what.
